Dr. Schmitt is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD) degree from Temple University in 1992.
He was born and raised in Columbia, PA. He then went on to Penn State University, where he received a commission in the US Army Medical Service Corps upon graduation. He served seven years in the Army at multiple duty stations including in Italy, during which time his interest in dentistry was honed. Upon satisfying his military commitment, Captain Schmitt enrolled in the Temple Dental School. Upon graduation he served a one-year General Practice residency in a hospital in York, PA. Dr. Schmitt and his wife Fancia have three young daughters, and they reside in Landenburg, PA. Fancia doubles as Office Manager for the practice, so you may get to meet her when you visit.

We are happy to assist in filing insurance claims for you, and we accept most dental insurance. Please call our office to verify that we work with your carrier. In most cases we are able to estimate insurance benefits at the time of your visit. We are participating providers with MetLife, Humana, Guardian, and others. We do prefer that you make payment at the time of your visit and we will promptly file your claim. Payment will then be made directly to you by your insurance carrier, typically within a few days. We offer a discount for same-day payment.
We are happy to work with you as you may request for major work expense. Our business manager will work with you to make these arrangement.
We take credit cards, and for your convenience, we offer interest-free financing of your dental treatment.
